Frequently asked questions
Who is it for?
People starting health cover on a limited budget, focused mainly on inpatient treatment, or those who already have some cover and want to top up the treatment limit.
How do plans 1–4 differ?
They differ in the annual limit and the limit per admission (higher plans have higher limits). Plan 4 has the same limits as plan 3 but carries a deductible of THB 20,000 per admission, so the premium is lower.
What is the deductible on plan 4?
It is the first THB 20,000 of each admission that you pay yourself; above that the insurer covers costs up to the limit. It suits people whose other cover pays the first portion, and it makes the premium more economical.
Does the premium rise every year?
Health insurance premiums are set by age band, so as you move into the next band the premium rises according to the rate table.
Is the premium tax deductible?
The health portion of the premium is deductible under Revenue Department rules. We recommend checking the current criteria and limits before claiming.
