Frequently asked questions
How does a daily benefit differ from health insurance?
Health insurance reimburses the actual treatment cost, while a daily benefit pays a fixed cash amount for each day in hospital whatever the bill comes to β useful for replacing lost income and covering other costs.
What sum insured does the main policy need?
It depends on the age band and the benefit level chosen. For ages 16β55, for example, a benefit of THB 2,000 a day requires a main sum insured of at least THB 100,000; THB 3,000 a day requires THB 300,000; and THB 4,000 a day requires THB 500,000. Try adjusting the calculator above.
For how many days is the benefit paid?
The maximum number of days per admission and per year follows the conditions stated in the policy. We recommend checking the details with an agent before deciding.
Does the premium rise every year?
The premium for this rider is set by age band, so as you move into the next band the rate per unit of daily benefit rises according to the rate table.
