Frequently asked questions
Do I get money back if I outlive the 19 years?
No. Kum Sap (T) is pure protection, giving a high sum insured at an economical premium. If you outlive the term, the cover has simply run its course as agreed.
Why is the premium lower than an endowment?
Because the whole premium pays for protection, with no savings element to be returned later. That is what makes a large sum insured affordable.
Can I pay monthly?
Kum Sap (T) accepts annual premiums only. The "monthly average" figure in the calculator is simply the annual premium divided by 12 to give a sense of scale โ it is not an actual payment option.
Are the premiums tax deductible?
Yes. Because the 19-year term is 10 years or more, the premiums qualify for the personal income tax deduction under Revenue Department rules. We recommend checking the current criteria and limits before claiming.
